    Must Haves:

    • 5+ years experience in a paralegal, licensing specialist, contract analysis, or related role
    • Proven experience with the acquisition and renewal of LICENSES (business, liquor, pharmacy, tobacco, general merchandise)
    • Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
    • Understanding of compliance
    • Proficient in MS Office & Excel
    • Detail oriented & organized

    Plusses

    • Advanced license renewal experience
    • Pharmaceutical/healthcare industry experience
    • Bachelors Degree in legal studies
    • Experience auditing licensing agreements or writing them

    Insight Global is seeking a temporary Licensing Specialist to assist a large retail/healthcare client in Deerfield, IL. The Licensing specialist is responsible for compliance and audit management, process management, and client relationship management.

    Compliance and Audit Management:

    • Apply policies and procedures and SOX-related compliance policies.
    • Support internal and external audits
    • Adhere to jurisdiction regulations regarding the initial application for and the renewal of licenses to operate all of the company's business units.

    Process Management:

    • Research applicable rules and regulations within each state, county and local licensing jurisdiction affecting the operations of company units and facilities.
    • Review jurisdictions rules, regulations and business practices in order to complete the licensing requirements for the different business units.
    • Process, accurately complete, and timely submit initial applications or renewals of pharmacy, DEA, business and other licenses required for the operation of the business.

    Client Relationship Management:

    • Assist Team Lead, licensing with all work with various business units and other corporate departments to understand specific business requirements. Collaborate with Service Provider to ensure the requirements are met.
    • Assist other License Specialists with the completion of initial applications or the renewal of applications as needed.
    • Interface with licensing jurisdictions to obtain licensing requirements and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
    • Reach out to team lead or department manager for clarification on jurisdiction requirements that may be unclear.
