Director of Corporate Relations - Chicago, United States - Annual Giving Network

Description

Reporting to the senior director of corporate relations, the director of corporate relations in the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Advancement engages with UIC faculty and leadership, external corporate staff, and other constituents to secure corporate support in the forms of philanthropic giving, sponsored research and other corporate partnerships.

Serving as liaison to colleges on the UIC campus, the director meets regularly with college-based Advancement staff, deans and/or leadership, and faculty to understand college priorities, design strategic and operational plans to build and manage corporate relationships and align corporate interests with funding needs.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or a foreign equivalent.

A minimum of five (5) years in corporate fundraising, including a proven track record in securing six-figure gifts.

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Ability to work independently and confidently with senior leadership at UIC and in the corporate sector

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to Advancement colleagues, donors, volunteers, faculty, and staff.

High level of professionalism, integrity, good judgement, and the ability to work in a team environment

Prior knowledge and familiarity with local and national business environments as well as fundraising strategies and techniques
