- Facilitate communication between hospital administration and DCI area leadership
- Act as the main point of contact for the medical director, ensuring open communication with all nephrologists
- Evaluate and provide recommendations to physicians on patient care
- Supervise nursing activities to ensure adherence to care protocols
- Collaborate with the DCI nurse educator for training and ongoing education of staff
- Provide guidance to the Hospital Services team
- Oversee nursing documentation, including medication and dialysis adjustments
- Coordinate with equipment technicians for maintenance and water treatment compliance
- Engage with discharge planners, case managers, and outpatient units for seamless care transitions
- Manage nursing budgets and make recommendations on equipment and supplies
- Stay updated on industry standards related to renal replacement therapy, ESRD, AKI, and regulatory requirements
- Participate in risk management and Quality Assessment Performance Improvement (QAPI) programs
- Contribute to hospital quality management and infection control initiatives

The Hospital Services Nurse Manager will lead our acute dialysis unit in delivering high-quality patient care while fostering collaborations with physicians and hospital staff to strengthen our local Hospital Services Program. This role is based in our St. Vincent acute hemodialysis unit.
Schedule: Full-time position working weekdays with weekend call rotation, determined upon hiring.
