We are currently seeking a Food Service Ops Mgr II who is an individual that can take charge and oversee theDriftwood Restaurant Dining Room, Kitchen, and the Highlands Pub.
The Food Service Ops Mgr II would manage allrestaurant and pub employees, the inventory, complete scheduling, evaluate employees, set cleaning schedules,ensure proper opening and closing procedures, ordering, planning menus, plan promotions, training, settingholiday events, managing banquets, and working hand in hand with the park chef, dining room supervisor, andpark manager in making the Driftwood Restaurant and the Highlands Pub the best that they can be.
We are alsolooking for someone that can deliver the best customer service possible to our wonderful customers. If you area team player and enjoy planning, greeting people, and delivering great customer service, then this is a full-time position that might be for you.
Barren River Lake is a part of the Kentucky Department of Parks and offers an outstanding compensation andbenefits package for full-time employees, including:
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Must have three years of experience in the operation and management of institutional, military or commercial food service operations.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Experience in one of the above areas will substitute for the education on a year-for-year basis.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): If employed in the Kentucky Department of Parks or the Kentucky Horse Park, must be twenty years and one day of age at time of appointment. If employed in the Kentucky Department of Parks or the Kentucky Horse Park, must obtain (Server Training in Alcohol Regulations) certification from the Kentucky Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control within six months of appointment. Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this classification. Employing agency is responsible for ensuring employee possesses and maintains required licensure(s), certification(s) or other credentials. Working Conditions Work is typically performed in a garage or field setting. Probationary Period This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS
