    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a collaborative, detail-oriented Accounting Manager, with proven experience and a strong work ethic who thrives on collaboration and approaches challenges with a can-do attitude. You will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and regulations.     Duties:Manage all aspects of general ledger accounting, including creating monthly and annual profit and loss reports.

    • Proficiently handle QuickBooks Online to ensure accurate financial records and streamline processes.
    • Run payroll and manage all aspects of invoicing, including generating and sending invoices and preparing checks for workers.
    • Monitor project budgets and expenses, proactively identifying opportunities to save costs while maintaining quality standards.
    • Oversee payments for office rent, utilities, and other operational expenses.
    • Efficiently open and close construction project files, ensuring all necessary documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
    • Update client documents and maintain clear communication with internal teams
    • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
    • Perform account analysis and bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data
    • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and coordinate with external auditors as needed
    • Stay updated on industry trends, accounting best practices, and changes in regulations.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA designation preferred)
    • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in construction accounting
    • Strong knowledge of accrual accounting principles and practices
    • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is mandatory
    • Experience using Buildertrend is preferred but not a must
    • Fluency in Spanish is preferred.
    • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
    • Solid understanding of GAAP and ability to apply accounting principles effectively
    • Experience with general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, and journal entries
    • Knowledge of payroll processing and familiarity with payroll systems
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly
