    Job Description:
    The eCommerce Analyst
    • Buying role is a key player in propelling OSJL's online business.
    The role supports the Company's eCommerce product strategy by researching and identifying hot deals, meticulously managing inventory levels, and fostering strong relationships with vendors, buyers, and web merchants.

    This role has the exciting opportunity to shape OSJL's processes and contribute to the continued growth of OSJL's online business.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Data Analysis and Reporting:
    Compile and analyze data on product performance, category trends, and inventory levels.
    Generate reports to support strategic decision-making.


    Product Sourcing and Deal Flow:
    Research and identify potential new vendors and products.
    Analyze product performance and category trends to identify high-potential opportunities.
    Attend relevant trade shows and develop relationships with vendors to secure new deals.

    Manage deal flow by organizing key details and making recommendations on offers and quantities based on value, cost, quality, and inventory levels.

    Become a subject matter expert on eCommerce product lines, historical data, and successful categories.


    Inventory Management:
    Track inventory levels and identify under and overstocked categories.
    Recommend strategies to minimize aged inventory and optimize warehouse space utilization.
    Generate reports to provide visibility into inventory performance and trends.


    Vendor Management:
    Maintain relationships with existing eCommerce vendors.
    Proactively reach out to potential or inactive vendors to secure new deal flow.


    Qualifications:
    Previous experience in a buying department or in a retail environment is preferred.
    Proficient in Microsoft Excel and/or experience with data visualization tools is preferred.
    Proficient in Google platform (i.e., Sites, Slides, Drive, Docs, Sheets).


    Work Environment:
    Works primarily in a climate controlled environment with minimal safety and health hazardpotential. Works in an office environment remaining stationary at a desk, table, or computer workstation for extended periods of time. Frequently uses near vision for reading and computer tasks. Periodic travel including overnight and weekend assignments (i.e., trade shows) may be required.
