Registered Veterinary Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Veterinary Technician to join our ICU/Critical Care team at the Northeast Indiana Veterinary ER & Specialty Hospital (NIVES). This is a full-time position, and we offer an excellent compensation package.

About NIVES

NIVES is a 24-hour referral and critical care hospital located in Fort Wayne, IN. We provide specialized care in Small Animal Surgery, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Critical Care Services. Our service area includes NE Indiana, SE Michigan, and SW Ohio.

Job Responsibilities

Assist DVMs with patient care
Patient restraint
Advanced CPR training
Intensive care nursing
Anesthesia monitoring
Blood draws
Administering medications
Radiology
Client communication/patient discharge

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
VTNE and state license

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is based on experience and skill level. We offer a hiring bonus of $1000, shift differentials, and comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, paid vacation and sick time, 401(k) retirement plan, and quarterly bonus incentives.
