About the Role:

As Kalmbach Feeds continues to grow, we are looking for passionate, hard-working team members that live our values and help us create new ideas, serve customers, improve our processes, build teams, and manage our growth.

The Senior Accountant will work closely with the Controller to ensure aspects of the swine and poultry businesses are running efficiently through financial reporting and analysis.

We are seeking a person with strong initiative and the desire to learn and understand the "big picture" of Kalmbach Feeds.

Primary Responsibilities

Preparing timely and accurate financial statements

Preparing Journal Entries

Preparing GL account reconciliations with a thorough understanding of the balances

Performing monthly and ad hoc analysis that give management insightful information needed for decision making

Calculating and filing various taxes

Assisting with cost savings initiatives

Assisting with budgets and helping management understand performance vs. budget

Assisting with process improvement initiatives

Other duties as assigned by the Controller


The Right Candidate:
Possess strong verbal and written communication skills and able to communicate/build relationships with stakeholders at all level

Highly accountable with strong organizational skills

Seeks information to learn about and understand all aspects of the company

Takes initiative on projects and goals

Bachelors degree in accounting

Has 3-6 years of experience in the accounting field
