is seeking a skilled Director of Surgical Services to join our team. This is a full-time, onsite position with paid relocation available.

General Summary of Duties :

The Director of Surgical Services will oversee all aspects of surgical operations, ensuring quality patient care and adherence to clinical standards.

This role requires strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

Supervisor :
Chief Nursing Officer

Supervises :
Surgical services staff

Duties Include But Are Not Limited To :

Develop and implement budgeting processes to ensure sound fiscal operation, including annual revenue, personnel, operations, and capital expense budgets.

Provide effective leadership and management of human resources, including staff education, performance management, and recruitment and retention initiatives.

Foster positive relationships with medical staff, facilitating communication and engaging physicians and staff in strategic initiatives and quality improvement efforts.

Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and accreditation standards, and actively participate in quality, risk management, and safety activities.

Promote effective communication, collaboration, and a non-discriminatory climate within the department and organization.

Contribute to strategic service line development, including marketing initiatives, community engagement, and identifying growth opportunities.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Knowledgeable in the care and handling of patient populations served.

Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and make clear, decisive decisions.

Education :
Minimum of an associate's degree in nursing.

Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred.

Experience :

5 years of experience in related clinical practice.

2 years in a clinical leadership role preferred.


Certificate/License :
Current RN license in the state of Iowa.

CNOR certification preferred.

BLS, ACLS, PALS certification required.
