    Systems Engineer - Fuel Test Lab - Level 3 We are Lockheed Martin An engineer with some experience to work primarily in the Fuel Test area of the Vehicle Systems Aircraft Labs organization
    This is a hands-on position working primarily in an outdoor lab environment
    The selected candidate must be a self-starter capable of interpreting customer requirements to devise test methods that meet intended objectives
    Responsible for the design of test fixtures, fabrication, setup and test
    Areas of testing include complex air (ECS, OBIGGS) and liquid (Fuel, PAO, Hydraulic) aircraft systems, conditioned air flow, altitude simulation, etc
    Able to work in a team environment, and prepare and present technical data to supervision and customers
    The ability to obtain a DoD secret security clearance with special program access is required

    Characteristics:

    • Strong selfstarter capable of devising test methods aligned with objectives.
    • Willingness to travel periodically to Air Force bases and other locations.
    • Experience in technical planning, system integration, and validation.
    • Excellent communication and problemsolving skills

    Responsibilities:

    • Interpret customer requirements to devise effective test methods.
    • Conduct technical planning, system integration, verification, and validation.
    • Manage cost, risk, and provide training and mentoring related to testing activities.
    • Hands on test setup, performance, measurement design and sensor selection

    Basic Qualifications:
    Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree
    Experience interpreting schematics / blueprints of complex parts and systems Mechanical design and fluid dynamics experience

    Desired Skills:

    • Experience in Fuel System / OBIGGS Testing and exposure to Fuel System Design
    • Aircraft and commercial plumbing hardware, fittings, and terminology experience
    • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment with competing priorities.
    • Familiar with machining and welding trade terminology
    • Preferred candidate should have demonstrated experience in performing system/component tests and instrumentation.
    • Able to work with and direct represented employees.
    • Experience with MS office.

    Security Clearance Statement:

    Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

    Work Schedules:
    Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees
    Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed

    These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

    Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
