Responsibilities

As a Tax Manager, you will be expected to:

Manage a portfolio of clients, providing superior client service in the areas of individual and business taxation
Lead and manage client engagements from start to finish ensuring they are completed within budget and timeline
Provide continuous and proactive communication with clients to manage and exceed expectations, meet deadlines, and ensure satisfaction.
Identify tax issues and offer innovative solutions and process improvements
Coordinate with team members on all phases of the tax engagement
Review individual and business tax returns and provide timely and constructive feedback, training and mentoring to staff
Manage financial performance of engagement, including billing and budget for assigned projects
Participate in the firm's practice development efforts through involvement with referral sources, community and industry activities
Keep current on tax law changes and accounting related developments and best practices

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

BA/BS Accounting
CPA required
8+ years of progressive experience in public accounting reviewing both individual and business taxation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex information
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Experience managing multiple client engagements and teams
