We are currently seeking Production Team Members ("Prep Cook") for our Decatur Location.

Job Summary:

As a vital part of the kitchen operations, you will be responsible for preparing the ingredients that give gusto! its delightful and memorable flavors. Your tasks will include cutting, chopping, slicing, labeling, dating, and storing food items while adhering to our company's food preparation standards. The Production Team Member should maintain a respectful and professional demeanor, being highly adaptable in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities:

Prep all recipes following company standards and specifications
Wash designated food products using an antimicrobial treatment
Chop and slice vegetables
Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients
Store, label, and rotate food items
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitization of the kitchen, equipment, and food storage areas according to company and health department standards
Adhere to food safety protocols
Follow uniform and personal hygiene standards, including wearing non-slip shoes and cutting gloves
Monitor product freshness, rotating perishable and non-perishable items
Operate high-volume cooking equipment like grills, fryers, or griddles
Capable of standing for extended periods and occasionally lifting objects up to 50 lbs
Perform other assigned tasks as needed

Qualifications & Experience:

Ability to accurately read and follow recipe instructions
Strong team player
Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy
Effective multitasker
Willingness to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Commitment to continuous learning and personal growth
Must have reliable transportation
Minimum age requirement of 18 years old
Previous food preparation experience is a plus but not mandatory
