HDR is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and an affirmative action employer.Work under a licensed PE and be responsible for the geotechnical analysis and design of infrastructure projects including but not limited to roadways, retaining walls, bridges, buildings, dams, soil, and rock slopes, asphalt, and concrete pavements, etc.
Review boring logs, laboratory data, and design plans for a variety of geotechnical tasks such as slope stability, settlement analysis, and construction recommendationsWork on shallow and deep foundation design, such as driven piles and drilled shafts
Provide project specific analysis of liquefaction potential with seismic considerations, slide remediation, and ground improvement
Prepare drawings, specifications, and foundation reports for geotechnical projects, and also be expected to coordinate with project managers to implement measures to successfully meet all project goals and objectives.
Southeast regional travel is required for site visits, client/project meetings, etc.#LI-HO1
Qualifications
Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or a closely related field
EIT or ability to obtain within 12 months. Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title of "Geotechnical Designer"
Knowledge of soil mechanics
Familiarity with engineering software
Must be willing to do extensive travel throughout the Southeast (as needed)
Must have strong oral and written communication skills
Preferred Requirements
Local candidates are preferred
