    Delta Apparel specializes in the design, merchandising, sales and marketing of a variety of casual and athletic products for men, women, juniors, youth and children at a wide range of price points through most distribution channels.

    We market fashion apparel garments, headwear and accessories under our different brands, including Salt Life, Soffe, and our Delta brand.

    In addition, we are a leading private label manufacturer, servicing top-tier global sportswear, lifestyle brands and retailers.

    Job Summary


    The primary objective of this position is to manually pull individual pieces and ensure correct quantities, styles, sizes, and colors are being shipped to customers.

    Essential Job Functions


    • Check your label to verify how the order is shipping. UPS, UPSM, UPSS, UPSP, FEDEX, LTL.
    • Scan into the order label and go to the location. Make sure the picture and location match what is on your RF scanner. Scan into the location and verify the pick location is correct.
    • Count out the required number of garments from the location that is listed on the RF scanner, viewing the garments to makes sure the labels and colors have no discrepancies.
    • Place the garments into the carton/bag, close out the pick on your RF scanner. Take the box/bag to the correct shipping location (UPS, UPSM, UPSS, UPSP, FEDEX, LTL).
    • There will be requirements of picking case pulls instead of piece picking. You will follow the same instructions. The one thing that is different is instead of counting the products out, you will just pick the full carton. It will be shut, so there will be no need to count or check the product.
    • Utilizing cherry picker and Turret Truck to take goods from the location areas and prepare them for shipment to customers.
    • Accurately fill customer orders. Verify what is prepared to ship matches the customer order.
    • Make sure all Distribution Center moves are scanned to accurately update the locator system.
    • Take care of products using proper techniques while moving goods throughout the Distribution Center.
    • Repair any damaged product before shipment to customer.
    • Use stretch wrap to secure cases to pallet when necessary.
    • Perform all duties as requested by the supervisor in a safe, efficient and productive manner.
    • Unloading Container trucks following all C-TPAT regulations and filling out the proper paperwork
    • Unloading any LTL trucks that come in for delivery and/or loading trucks to be shipped out.
    Job Requirements


    Competencies:
    Basic verbal and written communication skills with ability to read and write English. Constant visual and hearing attention.

    Basic mathematics skills

    Experience: 1-2 years warehouse experience. RF Scanner a plus. 2 years Stand-Up Lift experience


    Education:
    High school Graduate


    Industry specific certification or license:
    Certification to drive any machinery (Done in house)

    Work Environment

    The working environment consist of being on your feet all day, lifting, pushing, pulling, walking,

    Climbing a ladder, and cold and hot temperatures. You must be comfortable with heights and have a sense of safety awareness.

    This is a fulltime hourly position. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday 8:00a.m. to 4:30p.m. Overtime is expected on occasion.
