    We are currently seeking a Payroll and Timekeeping Analyst to join our organization. Under general direction of the Director of Payroll, the Payroll and Timekeeping Analyst will have the opportunity to apply their knowledge and experience in assisting with developing and maintaining best practices for payroll operations and Time and Attendance platform across our growing and expanding business. This position is responsible for documenting and analyzing the time worked daily, including training payroll administrators and assisting with time clock inquiries. It also ensures adherence to union agreements by making sure certain personnel are appropriately compensated for time worked, special pay assignments, holidays, various earned leaves, etc. The position is hybrid, working 4 days in the office and 1 day remotely.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist with performing periodic internal audits of various payroll areas and prepare materials for external or internal auditors.
    • Demonstrates ability to express complex payroll situations effectively, both verbally and written
    • End-to-end payroll processing knowledge
    • Will identify and/or participate in the identification of enhancements and process improvements in payroll products, processes and services
    • Generating reports in Time & Attendance platforms to analyze data, track trends
    • Calculating and processing rate changes, retroactive adjustments, and special pay assignments
    • Ensures compliance with union agreements to ensure that personnel are appropriately paid for time worked, holidays, vacations, sick leave, jury duty, various earned leaves, or other compensation exceptions
    • Provide guidance and direction to users on time and attendance matters
    • Trouble-shooting time clock issues and submitting remedy tickets for escalation
    • Facilitate time and attendance training
    • Monitor employee time and attendance records for inconsistencies
    • Some travel required
    • Assist with processing multi-state payroll for Union, exempt and non-exempt pay groups
    • Reconcile and validate payroll data prior/post transmission
    • Assist with processing accurate and timely year-end reporting
    • Assist with Mergers & Acquisitions
    • Respond to inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and taxes
    • Interact with federal and state agencies on issues pertaining to compensation and deductions
    • Other duties as assigned

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Demonstrates ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment.
    • Understanding of payroll reporting requirements while compliant with federal, state, and local payroll laws
    • Strong working knowledge of time and attendance tracking and administration
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills
    • Technology Savvy in using modern tools
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
    • Advanced understanding of HR & Payroll, HR, and benefits processes
    • Experience with UKG a plus
    • At least five years of experience in HR/Payroll is highly preferred

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Business Management) preferred
    • CPP a plus
