Due to the ongoing success of this initiative, we are currently looking for highly skilled and motivated Power Systems Engineer to join our dedicated team in strengthening the nexus between water and energy.

    Position Overview:

As a Power Systems Engineer in our Power Networks team, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing and integrating electrical systems at the intersection of power systems and water resources.

Your deep understanding will enable you to contribute to the advancement of renewable energy and water management practices as part of a visionary journey toward a more sustainable and harmonious world.

    Key Responsibilities:

Proven experience in power systems engineering, with a focus on integrating renewable energy sources and energy storage systems.

Strong understanding of the water-energy nexus and its implications on power systems and water resources.

Familiarity with relevant software tools for power system modelling, simulation, and optimisation.

Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex technical data to support decision-making.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Experience working within the UK regulatory and permitting frameworks related to power systems and water management is desirable.

Professional certifications (e.g., Chartered Engineer status) and memberships in relevant industry organisations are a plus.

Strong commitment to sustainability and a passion for contributing to a more resilient and environmentally conscious future.

    Benefits:
    Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.

Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, flexible working and more.

Opportunities for professional development and continuous learning.

A dynamic and inclusive work environment that promotes innovation and teamwork.

Contribution to meaningful, sustainable energy projects that have a positive impact on the environment and society.

If you are a motivated and forward-thinking engineer who is passionate about shaping the energy transition, we invite you to join our team at GHD.
