    Job Summary of the

    Field Service Technician:


    We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician who can work independently, interact effectively with customers, generate technical reports, and collaborate with the Engineering team to provide suggestions for enhancing products within the Product Development Group.

    The Field Service Technician will be accountable for assembling, commissioning, inspecting, repairing, and diagnosing systems autonomously, both locally and globally.

    Qualifications of the

    Field Service Technician:
    • 5 years of experience in a Field Service role with decision-making responsibilities
    • Electronics or Electrical certificate or degree
    • Able to travel up to 70% of the time (domestic and international travel)
    • Proficient in creating trip reports, return material authorizations, test reports, and corrective action reports
    • Knowledge of PLC's is highly desirable
    • Skilled in interpreting and troubleshooting systems using electrical schematics
    • Proficiency in working in a Windows environment and using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Must possess a clean driving record
    • Must be comfortable with working at heights
    • Experience with PLCs, VFDs, data acquisition, wiring, power equipment, and industrial electricity is required. Experience with Siemens, ABB, and TMEiC platform(s) is highly preferred.
    • Must currently possess or be capable of obtaining a valid passport for travel in and out of the United States
    Responsibilities of the

    Field Service Technician:
    • Regular interaction with customers, end-users, vendors, and contractors
    • Assisting in scheduling and coordinating the presence of involved parties on-site for inspecting/witnessing the final equipment installation and participating in start-up and commissioning activities
    • Internal coordination to ensure prompt responses to customer inquiries
    • Troubleshooting PLCs, VFDs, and other automated equipment both on-site and remotely
    • Repairing equipment at customer facilities, addressing both warranty and non-warranty claims
    • Conducting routine inspections of existing system installations
    • Overseeing the proper execution of pre-commissioning activities across various disciplines to ensure work quality and accurate reporting
    • Traveling to customer sites for final commissioning, demonstrating equipment functionality per specifications for customer approval
    • Assisting the project team in clearing all mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and automation punch list items as per project requirements
    • Participating in project and construction meetings as necessary
    • Providing technical training to end-user operators and maintenance personnel
    • Acting as an on-site troubleshooter to analyze and resolve technical issues and support customers with post-installation queries
    • Independently coordinating site visit details with customers or end-users before departure
    • Arranging all travel logistics independently (flights, accommodation, ground transportation, etc.)
    • Offering direct technical support to customers, contractors, sales, and engineering for testing and field service activities
