    POSITION TITLE: Graphic Designer, Print & Digital - TEMP

    The Graphic Designer will be responsible for creative and graphic design, collaborating with the marketing & product development departments. They will be developing graphics both for print and digital platforms to bring the brand story to the beauty and fashion industries.

    The ideal candidate has a substantial portfolio and is proficient with Adobe Creative Suite.

    THIS POSITION IS TEMP WITH A POTENTIAL TO BECOME FULL TIME.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    A highly creative individual with practical skills to execute concepts, design leading graphics, and work collaboratively within a small team. Comfortable working independently and solution oriented. Examples of the work to be designed include print, packaging, campaign graphics, renderings, in-store promotional displays, PR mailers, social, and other retail partner assets.

    YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: Minimum 4-6 years

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Create new marketing material designs for print, packaging, campaign graphics, renderings, in-store promotional displays, social media, and internal decks
    • Develop product illustrations, logos, and other graphics as needed
    • Research industry design trends and implement new creative content for the brand
    • Present design drafts to department managers and implement feedback and changes when appropriate
    • Retouching and color correcting a wide range of images from studio and location photo shoots
    • Play a key role in developing campaign collateral, product renderings, packaging, in-store displays, campaign graphics, PR mailers and digital assets
    • Uphold brand identity characteristics, typography, photography, color etc. while sharing in the innovation of the Danger Jones brand
    • Strategize, manage, and evolve our design guidelines and packaging systems
    • Track project timelines and prioritize project workload and projects
    • Ensure accountability to timelines, in a fast-paced environment, while always delivering creative that is accurate and consistent
    • Prepare and package files for print, social and web, working closely with external teams and vendors (i.e., proofing, color-matching, approving for print and exporting to different aspect ratios)
    • Organize and maintain project archives
    • Ensure that all creative produced meets all brief requirements, this includes but is not limited to correct dimensions, resolution, format, and die-lines
    • Keep up with current and upcoming trends within the industry, pushing out of the box creative thinking

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Must have:

    • Ability to be a team player and grow with marketing team
    • At least 4 years of experience in a design firm, PR or advertising agency
    • Excellent design, writing, presentation, and project management skills. Copywriting experience a plus
    • Excellent communication both verbal and written
    • Effective time management skills, be flexible and have the ability to prioritize multiple projects
    • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite ‐ Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign. Adobe After Effects a plus
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite programs
    • Expertise in working with die-lines, renderings, mocks, print production, etc.
    • Portfolio of designs demonstrating successful marketing campaigns
    • Exceptional creativity and innovation, and attention to detail
    • Organizational skills with an excessive attention to detail
    • A solution oriented, problem solving nature
    • Comfort with working both autonomously and collaboratively, with multiple rounds of revisions
