We are not accepting candidate submissions from search agencies for this position.Intellectual Property (IP) Practice Specialists work under the supervision of an attorney.
Responsibilities include assisting with drafting and prosecuting patent applications, and supporting IP due diligences, patent landscape analyses, patent litigations, post-grant proceedings (IPR, PGR, interferences) and other IP matters in the life sciences related to cutting-edge technologies, such as gene editing, cellular therapies, antibody-based therapeutics, molecular diagnostics, and small molecule pharmaceuticals.
The position requires an advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred, or M.S.
with several years industry experience) in the life sciences (e.g., Biology, Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Immunology, Virology, Bioengineering, or Organic Chemistry).
Must have experience researching, writing and reading scientific publications in a relevant area.Additionally, candidates should have excellent written and oral communication skills, superior academic background and a desire for teamwork, significant responsibility and client interaction.
The expectation is that the candidate will become registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office within the next year.To be considered, please provide a cover letter, resume, writing sample, and law school (if available), graduate and undergraduate transcripts.
