    Description
    Work with ADAC engineers to identify, develop and manage hardware requirements, architecture, design, test specifications, etc. on projects of lower complexity.
    With guidance from more experienced engineers, provide input to the hardware DFMEA.
    Perform simulations to identify design weaknesses as early as possible during development.
    Work with the software team to ensure successful system design and communication of hardware/software interfaces.
    Collaborate with mechanical engineers to determine the best package space to meet customer requirements. Propose solutions which minimize risk to both mechanical and hardware aspects.
    Perform hardware design and requirements verification, including worst case circuit calculations.
    Support the test lab with creation and evaluation of verification equipment and providing procedural recommendations.
    Support EMC testing to ensure design complies to customer requirements.
    Ensure low-cost components which meet design requirements are utilized. Identifying alternatives for components to best ensure manufacturability.
    Utilize basic debugging techniques to determine root cause of product issues.
    With mentoring from more senior engineers, grow understanding of how to meet the requirements in ISO26262.
    Take guidance from more experienced engineers or leadership for tasks which have ambiguity.
    Participate in hardware process improvement initiatives.

    Education & Experience:
    Bachelor of Computer or Electrical Engineering, related field, or relevant experience
    Minimum of 2 years experience
    Automotive Industry (preferred)
    Attend job-required training
    ISO 26262 Functional Safety Management
    Purchasing/budgeting electronic parts and test equipment

    Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    Ability to use Oscilloscopes, Vector Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, and other analysis tools
    Experience with an electronics CAD tool
    Ability to contribute to peer design and schematic reviews
    Ability to quickly learn new technologies, processes, or skills
    Makes decisions in a timely manner, acts with humility, and demonstrates initiative.
