- Assist with planning and preparing meals in accordance with menus, making allowances for clients medically approved special dietary needs.
- Assist with maintaining an on-going inventory of food items monitoring usage.
- Assist in monitoring the number of meals served on a daily basis and quality of food items used.
- Assist in maintaining the kitchen and food preparation area to meet the highest standard of cleanliness and in accordance with Department of health requirements.
- Assist in maintaining daily, weekly and monthly schedule of food service staff and assist food service staff in remedying deficiencies
- Follow all safety rules - no horseplay.
- Report safety hazards to supervisor.
- Maintain positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters good
- Support the mission of The Salvation Army by treating every client and colleague with individual respect and dignity, and without discrimination of any kind.
- And all other duties as assigned.

Summary of Position
Responsible for assisting with the daily operation of a commercial kitchen, including preparing meals, assisting with the supervision of staff and to ensure the food is cooked, stored and maintained in accordance with the Minnesota department of health.
$17.00/hour
