    We're seeking a Software Engineer/Senior Software Engineer to develop advanced mapping and geospatial data services.

    You will construct data pipelines that assimilate geospatial information from multiple sources and transform it into usable formats.

    You'll develop backend services and APIs to supply processed geodata to internal and external clients.

    Responsibilities

    • Build scalable map data pipelines for processing diverse data sources into servable formats.
    • Innovate services and APIs for delivering POIs and semantic map data according to customer needs.
    • Collaborate with teams to integrate services and provide support with data analysis and maintenance.
    • Perform code reviews, maintain high coding standards, and contribute to process improvement.
    • Participate in product release cycles, including QA testing, load testing, and metric establishment.
    • Troubleshoot and optimize performance for map-related services to ensure seamless user experiences.
    • Cross-functional collaboration and regular meeting attendance are required.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
    • 4+ years of software engineering experience, 2+ years focusing on server backend services and data pipelines.
    • Proficiency in programming languages like Java, C++, JavaScript, or Python.
    • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
    • Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stress appropriately.

    PREFERRED SKILLS

    • Geospatial data processing and map technologies experience.
    • Geospatial databases and geoquery tools knowledge (e.g., Postgres, BigQuery).
    • Web-based 3D rendering using WebGL technologies (e.g., Three.js).

    The total compensation package includes a base salary range of $158,400.00 - $212,000.00 + bonus + equity + benefits.

    New hire total compensation is determined by work location and additional factors, including assessed job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
