Position: Pharmacist
Location: Binghamton, NY
Tenure: Direct Hire
Schedule: Varied - Some evenings required
Hours: 4x10 or 4x12 shifts (e.g. 8am-8pm)
Responsibilities:
• Registers with the state board of pharmacy as the supervising or in-charge pharmacist.
• Maintains compliance of the pharmacy with federal, state, and board of pharmacy regulations, as well as company policies.
• Oversees all pharmacy operations to meet financial targets such as budget, payroll, third-party administration, scheduling, and inventory management for financial sustainability.
• Participates in business growth initiatives within the store and local community.
• Manages pharmacy support staff functions, including performance evaluations, within the pharmacy department.
• Provides guidance and training to pharmacy associates, ensuring adherence to regulations and company policies.
• Ensures all pharmacy associates complete mandatory company training.
• Participates in patient-focused services including immunization, MTM, and wellness programs.
• Advises patients and healthcare providers on drug use, dosage, interactions, and side effects, while monitoring patient health and progress for therapy optimization and adherence.
• Participates in continuous quality improvement programs to enhance patient safety.
• Delivers exceptional service within the pharmacist's professional scope of practice using professional judgment.
• Maintains a tidy, orderly workstation in line with company standards at all times, complying with legal and company regulations for department facilities.
• Completes state law-mandated continuing education programs.
• Carries out other assigned duties from management.
