    Job Title: Certified Pharmacy Technician

    Company: Baystate Medical Center/Baystate Health (BH)

    Summary:

    • Assist pharmacists in pharmacy operations
    • Responsible for key functions and duties
    • Represent department internally and externally
    • Maintain knowledge of pharmacy services
    • Support dispensing and restocking tasks

    Job Responsibilities:

    • 1) Distributive Pharmacy Services:
      • Operate pharmacy technology and automation
      • Manage medication distribution and compounding
      • Assist with drug purchasing and inventory control
    • 2) Dedication to Quality/Safety:
      • Understand pharmacy expectations and roles
      • Maintain knowledge of medication safety
      • Participate in medication error prevention
    • 3) Customer Service & Teamwork:
      • Interact effectively with team members
      • Maintain patient rights and confidentiality
      • Communicate efficiently with colleagues
    • 4) Staff Development:
      • Participate in performance evaluation
      • Achieve professional and personal goals
    • 5) Training/Orientation:
      • Assist in training new employees
    • 6) Attendance:
      • Adhere to attendance policy

    Required Work Experience:

    • Previous technician experience in an acute/retail setting

    Preferred Work Experience:

    • No specific requirements listed

    Skills and Competencies:

    • Good interpersonal and communication skills
    • Understanding of staff engagement
    • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
    • Ability to work independently
    • Strong math skills
