    Job Responsibilities

    • Fosters persistence and completion by maintaining a caseload of first time in college and/or transfer students; utilizes college's early alert software as part of this caseload maintenance
    • Monitors progress of students in caseload with check-ins, scheduled meetings or proactive outreach and communication, responding to student questions, concerns and needs
    • Provide information about campus/community resources and college success strategies.
    • Helps students in identifying, developing and implementing learning strategies and study skills specific to course materials
    • Determine and eliminate college barriers to student success and satisfaction.
    • Conducts academic coaching through individual or group sessions that help students assess their own performance and develop academic success plans
    • Leads workshops on academic success strategies and any other related areas involving student success
    • Participates in college committees and task forces related to academic advising, web-registration, etc. and work closely with faculty and academic affairs to develop student-centered processes.
    • Implements Office of Student Success retention and persistence-based initiatives.
    • Collaborates with various areas within and outside of the Student Services to facilitate student success, retention, and persistence.
    • Assists with development of goals, objectives, and learning outcomes for the Office of Student Success, in support of the college's strategic plan.

    Minimum and Additional Requirements
    Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years experience in student services programs.

    Preferred Qualifications
    Master's Degree in related field with 3 year's experience in student services programs is preferred.
