    Job Title: Registered Veterinary Technician

    VCA Northwood Animal Hospital is expanding their team and seeking a skilled Registered Veterinary Technician to join their dynamic team.

    Compensation:

    The starting salary for this role is $18-$20 per hour, based on skill set, license, and years of experience in the field. Opportunities for financial growth are available.

    Schedule:

    This is a full-time opportunity with flexible scheduling, featuring 4 x 10-hour shifts with alternating weekends and some holidays.

    About Us:

    We prioritize pet health at VCA Northwood Animal Hospital, working as a cohesive team to deliver high-quality patient care. Our staff is dedicated to continuous improvement in veterinary medicine, ensuring compassionate care and respect for our patients.

    This position offers a unique chance to work in both Urgent Care and Primary Care areas of the hospital. You'll provide top-notch medical care to patients requiring immediate attention in Urgent Care, while building long-term relationships with clients and their pets in Primary Care.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist doctors with exams, treatments, and procedures
    • Venipuncture and IVC placement
    • Administer SQ fluids, medications, etc.
    • Work with technical staff across the hospital to ensure hospitalized patients receive the best possible care
    • Recognize subtle changes in clinical status
    • Discharge instructions with clients
    • Complete estimates, basic record keeping
    • Anesthesia monitoring
    • Perform digital radiography using proper technique
    • Dentals
