Position Title: Maintenance Supervisor

Location: Richmond, IN

Time Type: Full-time

About the Job: Are you a skilled Maintenance Supervisor looking for a new challenge? Join our team at Johns Manville, a leading manufacturer of insulation and commercial roofing products. As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a key role in overseeing the maintenance department responsible for all equipment, property, buildings, and facilities within a manufacturing plant. Your expertise will be crucial in supporting the operations of production, engineering, and safety departments.

Your Day to Day:

Act as a technical expert in mechanical equipment
Supervise, set direction, and delegate daily work of assigned hourly mechanical and electrical employees
Lead safety processes, training, and accident investigations
Monitor safety and environmental compliance
Identify and resolve maintenance performance issues
Troubleshoot equipment problems and maintain plant machinery
Track performance metrics and enhance productivity
Collaborate with the Plant management team
Manage maintenance projects and contractor crews
Ensure best maintenance and safety practices are upheld
Conduct shift meetings and enforce housekeeping strategies
Oversee maintenance scheduling and inventory management
Handle MRO purchasing through maintenance software
Assist with other related duties as needed

What You Bring to the Team:

High School/Technical School diploma with 10+ years of manufacturing experience
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering preferred with 5+ years of managing an industrial maintenance workforce
Experience in preventative maintenance and increasing equipment reliability
Strong knowledge of plant systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management
Demonstrated leadership and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Understanding of safety regulations and industrial codes
Readiness to handle emergency situations
