- BS in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
- Strong shell scripting such as Python, Bash and PowerShell to develop scripts and automation tools/tasks to streamline the application setup, patching, and configuration process.
- Good knowledge on implementing and enforcing security measures, such as access controls, user permissions, and authentication mechanisms.
- Troubleshoot/fix different environment problems, test infrastructure fixes, and work with development teams to resolve any infrastructure issues.
- Set up monitoring tools and processes to track the health, performance, and availability of deployed Windows applications.
- Investigate and troubleshoot application-related incidents, such as crashes, performance degradation, or compatibility problems.
- Collaborate with developers and system administrators to analyze application logs, error messages, and performance bottlenecks.
- Solid understanding and practical experience of software development life cycles, with particular emphasis on release engineering functions
- Share knowledge and best practices with team members and stakeholders to foster continuous improvement and knowledge transfer.
- Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and knowledge base articles for the application setup process.
- Good understanding of programming languages such as C#/Java
- Strong knowledge of IP networking, DNS, load balancing and CDNs
- Actively participate in a Scrum environment, iterate quickly, and contribute toward key goals.
- Containerization knowledge would be nice (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Good to have experience with various dev and devops tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket, Nexus, JFrog, Harness, GitHub Enterprise, Gitlab, Ansible playbook, Gitlab, Jira, ADO, Windows, Linux, SQL
