We are now looking for a Junior Linux Systems Administrator to join their busy, motivated, and growing team.

Junior Linux Systems Administrator

Chicago – full time onsite.

Work on-site at downtown Chicago office from Monday through Friday, with standard working hours from 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM Central Standard Time (CST)

$70-80k plus bonuses and excellent benefits package.

You must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder to apply for this role.

To be successful in this role:

You will be a confident Junior Linux Systems Administrator with brokerage firm trading experience in the financial services industry. You will have gained 6 months+ of robust Linux expertise with a preference for CentOS 7 or Alma Linux.

Expertise in the Linux operating system

Virtualization

Ansible automation scripting

Proficiency in shell programming, including Bash and Python

Good analytical and problem-solving abilities

Must be local to Chicagoland area only

Job role and responsibilities:

As a Junior Linux Systems Administrator your responsibilities will typically include designing, implementing, and monitoring the IT infrastructure particularly the aspects related to Linux-based systems. Other responsibilities for this role include:

Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems

Coordinate with network, software, and system engineers, PC desktop technicians, project managers, end users, customer, and IT management
