- Actively participates in weekly operational and HR meetings and maintains a frequent presence with supervisors and associates in production areas.
- Continue to build knowledge and keep current on changing HR trends, legal requirements, local talent availability and market competitiveness.
- Collaborate with HR Manager and Supervisors to analyze trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs and procedures that support the employees and needs of the business.
- Partner with Supervisors to ensure proper application and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Coaches Supervisors on approachability, building relationships and connecting with hourly associates to inspire their best effort.
- Partners with Supervisors to own the associate experience and utilize their feedback to understand dissatisfiers and motivators to improve engagement.
- Promote and facilitate participation in associate surveys and roundtable sessions to help Supervisors understand what it takes to retain associates. Supports Supervisors in educating associates on takeaways, action items and progress.
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues.
- Leads the First 90 Days Onboarding Program for hourly associates; ensures a welcoming environment, Buddy Program participation, analyzes survey feedback and retention metrics.
- Provides day-to-day performance management and leadership guidance to supervisors (e.g., career development, coaching, counseling, terminations)
- Reskilling and Upskilling: liaison between Supervisors and Learning and Development to identify training needs and align training programs with business objectives.
- Support the performance management and succession planning process by training supervisors on providing meaningful feedback and identifying bench strength for critical roles.
- Liaison between Supervisors and HR Generalist to ensure openings are posted and facilitates the candidate screening process.
- Markets and promotes the associate referral process.
- Partner with Supervisors to encourage a pipeline of qualified, diverse candidates for current and future roles.
- Support HR Manager in leading rollout of initiatives and projects affecting the hourly workforce (e.g., Benefits rollout, Attendance Policy adoption, Engagement Survey execution and action planning)
- Utilize operational and people knowledge to help the corporate HR team develop solutions that work in our unique environments.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite to include Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to effectively use HRIS and payroll/timekeeping systems to run reports and analyze data.
- Ability to partner with cross functional teams to ensure business goals are achieved.

- Ability to handle moderately complex issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff.

SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner at our Reno, Nevada.
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) supports the Supervisors in the plant by providing coaching on HR issues such as analyzing talent needs, onboarding, engagement, talent development, change management, strengthening leadership skills and strategic planning for new initiatives/events. The HRBP utilizes strong general and company-specific business knowledge along with HR expertise to provide coaching to Supervisors and employees on HR-related matters to support business goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university preferred, and four years related experience and/or training in Human Resources; or equivalent combination of education and experience. SHRM-CP, PHR or other Human Resources related certification preferred.
