    Our client, a national, robust homebuilder to appoint a new Senior Financial Analyst. The firm has an average employee tenure of 10+ years and offers upward mobility and direct access to leadership.

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Senior Financial Analyst is an integral member of the regional Financial Planning & Analysis team, providing crucial support to the VP of Finance, operational managers in assigned divisions, and the Corporate Finance team. Key responsibilities encompass assisting the division VP of Finance in various capacities, including preparing the division's annual operating plan, updating monthly cash flow and profit and loss forecasts, facilitating monthly project job cost budgeting, conducting quarterly profit and loss and cash flow variance analyses, and performing financial analyses related to home starts, backlog, and closings.

    Additionally, the role involves collaborating with operational managers to enhance processes, generating internal operational reports, and contributing to external joint venture reporting. The Senior Financial Analyst may also be involved in evaluating land acquisition opportunities, assessing home pricing, and undertaking ad-hoc analyses and projects as required. Proficiency in Excel, the ability to merge data from multiple systems, independent analysis of business issues, and effective presentation of recommendations are essential skills for this role.

    The role offers a hybrid work schedule.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Contribute to the preparation of Annual Operating Plan and monthly updates of cash flow and P&L projections.
    • Coordinate job cost budgeting with operational managers
    • Prepare and update Selling, General & Administrative expense budgets
    • Prepare financial and operational reporting
    • Provide corporate reporting & analysis
    • Ensure data integrity
    • Address ad-hoc requests & offer analysis to support operational managers
    • Drive continuous improvement processes
    • Exhibit professionalism and a positive attitude

    QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, and/or a Master's of Business Administration.
    • Ideally 3-6 years of professional Finance experience in a complex business environment with at least 1 year of homebuilding industry experience preferred.
    • Practical experience with profitability analysis, variance & trend analysis, IRR, cash flow, and other common financial metrics.
    • Strong Excel, financial modeling, and interpersonal skills are required.
    • Ability to plan and prioritize multiple responsibilities in order to meet deadlines.
    • Ability to independently prioritize tasks, work both independently and collaboratively, and simplify complex financial concepts for corporate managers.
    • Experience improving efficiency and value-add of financial processes, including influencing managers and partners across geographic locations.
    • Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise One, OneStream, and Business Objects is a plus.
    • Ability to travel quarterly for 1-3 business days may be required at a future date.
