Job Overview
The Bulk Delivery driver is responsible for safely and efficiently operating diesel-powered tractor-trailers to transport and deliver products or materials in the packaged or palletized form to and from customer locations for local and regional distances following Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulationsResponsibilities
- Perform assigned pre-shift activities to ensure productive shift; review work schedules checks equipmentand supplies required to perform the work scheduledincluding accuracy of loadand prepare for operations
- Safely legally operates tractor-trailer at all times following applicable laws Company policy Check complete required paperwork associated with freight obtaining required signatures documentation verifying cargo pick-up delivery
- Effectively trip plans using maps GPS written verbal information ensure efficient legal on-time pick-up delivery meet scheduled door times Use electronic log record daily hours service following FMCSA state Company requirements Load secure cargo against movement damage within trailer Maintain seal control as required
