    Description

    As an Automotive MRO Buyer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of automotive maintenance, repair, and operations processes within the company. You will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing inventory of maintenance and repair supplies, equipment, and services essential for the smooth functioning of automotive operations.

    Responsibilities:

    Sourcing and Procurement:

    • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers/vendors for automotive MRO supplies, equipment, and services.
    • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality standards.
    • Continuously monitor market trends, supplier performance, and industry developments to optimize sourcing strategies.
    • Maintain optimal inventory levels of automotive MRO supplies and equipment to support uninterrupted operations.
    • Implement inventory control measures to prevent stockouts, minimize excess inventory, and reduce carrying costs.
    • Utilize inventory management software/systems for accurate tracking, forecasting, and replenishment of MRO items.
    • Coordinate Supplier Relationship and budget management

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Proven 4+ years of MRO purchasing experience in the automotive industry.
    • SAP platform experience is mandatory as well as Microsoft Excel.
    • Strong understanding of Metal Stamping.
    • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with suppliers/vendors.
    • Proficiency in inventory management principles and practices, including inventory optimization techniques.
    • Knowledge of automotive MRO products, equipment, and services, as well as familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
    • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and metrics to drive informed procurement decisions.
    • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
