Description
This Family Medicine Obstetrician Physician provides hospital on-call services at Advent Health.Provide comprehensive Obstetric services including preventive and health maintenance services, acute and chronic care, clinical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment as well as OB/GYN consultation services to True Health patients.
The duties of the Physician position include, but are not limited to, providing diagnosis, treatment, consultation, education and follow-up care to adult patients, proper maintenance of records, acting as the Supervisory Physician of Mid-level Providers and Residents as required, and any other reasonable and proper duties assigned.
Perform histories, physicals and prescribing a diagnostic, education, preventive and/or treatment plan within the standards of accepted medical practice# Coordinate continuity of medical care for patients
# Promote health by advising patients on diet, hygiene and prevention of disease
# Perform minor surgery as necessary
# Perform vaginal and cesarean deliveries and on-call services at an area hospital of True Health choice
# Perform in office procedures including but not limited to: colposcopies, endometrial biopsies, implantable contraception (intrauterine devices, Nexplanon, etc.), Be familiar with True Health's programs, philosophies, goals, and objectives. Be cognizant of and comply with all policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws / regulations.

# Participate in collaborative and health care programs of federal and state governments approved by the Senior Management.

# Understand the requirements of True Health's Exposure Control Plan and ensure compliance of play by support staff assigned to assist you.
# Facilitate needed referrals, including social services for patients requiring services not offered at True Health, in coordination with referral coordinators and nurses according to True Health policy.
# Participate in staff outreach and off-site health care programs requiring OB/GYN services as requested by the Chief Medical Officer and represent True Health in the community.
# Assist in the review of primary care protocols and patient education materials in collaboration with the Chief Medical Office, Director of Ob/Gyn, and the Regional Medical Director.
# Provide necessary information and signatures for participation in reimbursement arrangements, such as Medicare, Medicaid, and other plans.
# Provide accurate coding information on encounter tickets that corresponds to care given and is documented in progress notes.
# Report as needed to Chief Medical Officer, Director of Ob/Gyn, and/or Regional Medical Director any pertinent information or situations that impact on patient care or True Health liability.
# Carry out any other activities deemed appropriate by the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) or Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
# Has ability to practice Family Medicine at least one (1) Friday per month as allowed by schedule.
# Board Eligible / Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and /or Board Certified in Family Medicine
# Florida Medical License
# Medical staff privileges at appropriate hospital if designated by True Health
# Computer Literacy
Ability to collaborate with colleagues to provide quality healthcare
# Computer literacy
Prior experience using an electronic medical records system
# Bilingual a plus, but not required
Reports to the Director of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Regional Medical Director
Ability to lift weight equivalents that would be required when occasionally assisting and repositioning patients, repositioning equipment, and lifting supplies.
# Ability to adapt and function in varying environments of workload, patient acuity, work sites, and work shifts
