Ob/Gyn Hospitalists Needed in Athens, Ohio - Apply Today
A successful OB hospitalist program is a collaboration among the hospital's staff and affiliated obstetricians, family practice physicians, and sub-specialists. Our experienced, board-eligible or board-certified OB Hospitalists provide OB triage, admissions inpatient care, and delivery for hospitalized patients. This cost-effective, cohesive approach improves clinical outcomes and enhances patient satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide 24-hour in-house coverage for obstetric and gynecologic emergencies.
- Manage OB/GYN emergency-department patients.
- Conduct OB triage and admissions inpatient care.
- Deliver care for hospitalized patients.
- Collaborate with community OBs in a highly supportive and cohesive group.
- Ensure continuity, quality, and safety in patient care through best practices.
- Communicate real-time with office physicians regarding triage visits, new issues, and deliveries.
- Participate in multidisciplinary OB critical care.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in OB/GYN - REQUIRED
- Ohio license [PREFERRED] (or in process) or active IMLC compact eligible
- Minimum of 1-year recent clinical experience - REQUIRED
- Completion of Prescreen Questionnaire - REQUIRED
- CV must be in MM/YYYY format with all gaps explained - REQUIRED
- Rates must follow rate structure - REQUIRED
- Self-Query NPDB (Should be pulled within the month) - REQUIRED
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active Board Certification in OB/GYN
- Ohio state medical license preferred
Athens, Ohio is located in the scenic eastern part of the state, conveniently flanking Pennsylvania and Northern West Virginia.
