    Job Description:
    The Data Engineer with operate within the Data Intelligence team to support delivering on the vision of expanding the data & analytics capabilities at Flexential. This role will be responsible for the collection, preparation, storage, and translation of business-critical data. The data engineer will adhere to best practices such as: Agile execution, technical documentation, reporting of progress, and coding standards.Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
    • Data Acquisition & Integration
      • Ability to gather various types of data (e.g., structured, unstructured, semi-structured) from different locations (e.g., databases, file systems, APIs) and extract for fit-for-purpose use cases
    • Data Storage & Management
      • Ability to implement storage solutions like data lakes, relational databases, data warehouses, and data marts to suit the needs of the stakeholders
    • Data Processing & Transformation
      • Ability to apply business rules to clean, transform, and organize into a consistent format for analysis by multiple user groups/stakeholders
      • Ability to describe designs to other team members and participate in code reviews to assess viability and design principles
    • Building Data Pipelines
      • Ability to build automated workflows to deliver data to specific locations
      • Ability to managed shared pipelines and common code components across an Agile team
    • Collaboration
      • Ability to communicate with stakeholders in the business and technical teams
      • Ability to manage own work, schedule, and expectations
    Required Qualifications
    • Experience working in an Agile delivery team
    • 2+ years of experience with SQL development
    • Experience with tools such as: Red Gate, GIT Hub, Python, SQL server, Pentaho, Tableau & Qlik Sense
    • Expert knowledge of writing procedures in a Microsoft SQL Server environment including:
      • Join logic (left, inner, outer, etc.)
      • Query composition and execution order
      • Familiarity with database design
    • Expert knowledge of relational database principals & database theory
    • Ability to:
      • Build custom query logic and solutions that function
      • Troubleshoot and root cause various technical failures or performance maladies related to internal data operations (e.g., SPROC's Joins, and general trouble shooting and data tracing)
    • Willingness to learn new technologies and explore processes that may be unfamiliar and need to be refactored
    Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)
    • Knowledge of data centers
    • Knowledge of billing systems and processes
    Physical Requirements
    • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
    • Walk or stand for 10% of the time
    • Moderate or advanced keyboard usage
    • Lift 25 lbs.
    • Travel 5% of the time

    Base Pay Range: Annualized salary range offered for this position is estimated to be $75,000 - $95,000. However, the actual pay range depends on each candidate's experience, location, and qualifications.

    Variable Pay: Discretionary annual bonus, based on personal and company performance.
