America's Favorite Jeweler, Ross-Simons, a division of Luxury Brand Holdings, is seeking an
Accounting Manager based in our Cranston, RI office.
The position will lead the daily financial activities of the organization, be a key contributor to month end financial reporting process as well as interact with department heads and external auditors.
This is a hands-on role which also has supervisory responsibility for the accounting function.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the following:
Responsible for month-end closing activities such as reviewing reconciliations and journal entries related to cash, prepaid expenses, payroll, accrued expenses, and other areas
Perform financial and cost analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts to support business
Prepare supporting schedules for external auditors for quarterly and year-end audits
Cost Analysis and Cash
Manage all processes related to cash audit and application
Manage customer liability accounts
Responsible for cost validation and analysis on inventory including process improvements
Performance Management
Manage direct reports' performance and professional development (1-3 direct reports)
Provide guidance and support to finance team including:
financial information and understanding of accounting policies and procedures
Propose initiatives for process optimization and automation to support significant Company growth
Contribute to department and organization special projects as assigned.
Experience and Required Qualifications
A successful candidate must have a BS degree in Accounting
The candidate should possess advanced Microsoft Excel skills
5+ years of progressive experience in a fast-paced accounting department
The candidate should be a quick learner, have strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities, and be an independent thinker with a proven ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
The candidate should be able to interact and communicate effectively at all levels across an organization
The candidate should be detailed and deadline-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks with varying priorities with a strong willingness to learn new things
MBA/CPA preferred but not required
