Quality Assurance Analyst - Cleveland, United States - Nesco Resource

Description

Responsible for developing and executing test plans and test cases to maintain quality assurance standards and measures within the IT department. The ideal Candidate will have an understanding of, and ability to apply, core testing concepts, including requirements analysis, test plan development, negative scenario testing, and exploratory testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform system and application testing to ensure proper functionality and compliance with standards.
• Design, execute and maintain testing deliverables including testing approaches, test cases, test scripts and test result summaries utilizing industry best practices.
• Carryout manual backend testing to verify functionality per requirements.
• Maintain accurate testing documentation including test cases, defect logging and reporting.
• Promote quality assurance best practices across project team.
• Work closely with QA team members and Director to identify, design, or enhance areas where testing efforts could be reduced through automation, tool creation or similar concepts.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of software quality assurance experience with a heavy focus on backend database manual testing.
• Hands-on experience using SQL to write and execute complex queries.
• Results driven and independent worker with ability to prioritize work activities with minimal guidance and coaching.
• Understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and Agile methodology.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience testing applications developed using Microsoft .NET C#, VB.NET, VB6, and SQL Server preferred.
• Azure DevOps experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Information Technology a plus.
