Come help us build the future, come join Full SpectrumThe Senior Embedded ARM and Linux Software Engineer will have the opportunity to work on a diverse set of products, including complex medical devices, robotics, and industrial equipment.
This position requires an individual who enjoys learning new software technologies and working on the cutting edge of product development.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate and work in a fast-paced cross-functional team and environment and with client technical staff
Use your detailed understanding of ARM architecture and embedded Linux to design and develop optimum dataflows in a complex network of real-time and safety-critical processes demanding high data throughput
Execute all elements of the software development lifecycle, including requirements specification, design, planning, code, code reviews, unit testing and verification.
Communicate your designs to internal team members and client, and resolve feedbackExecute with minimal guidance and strong initiative in a fast-paced environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
5-10 years recent experience working as an embedded software engineer using ARM and Linux
Thorough understanding of IPC in a heterogeneous compute environment using UDP, TCP/IP
Demonstrated commitment to high quality
Strong oral and written communication skills
Highly motivated, self-disciplined, independent and results oriented
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics or related discipline preferred, or equivalent years of experience
Local Travel:
Ability to work intermittent onsite (as needed) in Westborough, MA.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:
Expertise in C and C++ programming in constrained environments
Expertise in real-time and safety-critical solution development
Strong hands-on technical abilities in programming, debugging, and troubleshooting in an integrated ARM and Linux environment.
Experience in performance evaluation and optimization techniques including packet analysis, data integrity assessment, internal cache reports, etc. in an ARM environment
Strong familiarity with modern software development tools (Git, JIRA, etc.) and modern SDLC processes
Experience using Agile techniques, including task / issue management
