Your Essential Contribution

Our customers rely on our reliable Wegmans Pharmacy staff to cater to their health needs. As a Pharmacy Technician, you play a crucial role in building trust by delivering top-notch service that distinguishes Wegmans and guarantees customers receive the vital medical care and attention they trust us for. Your Key Responsibilities

• Handle prescription requests efficiently while fostering trust with customers, showcasing patience, empathy, and care
• Solve insurance claim rejections, ensuring the best outcome for customers
• Follow department procedures diligently for data input, prescription dispensing, and verification
• Assist in maintaining smooth department operations, including inventory management, ordering, and stocking of medications and supplies
• Ensure proper product handling, equipment usage, maintenance of accurate logs, and adherence to sanitation protocols

Required Qualifications:

• Proficiency in computer usage
• Ability to perform basic math for precise data entry and prescription filling
• State-specific requirements—may necessitate Pharmacy Technician certification
• For New Jersey applicants: Minimum age of 18 and possession of a High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in product ordering and inventory management
• Previous Pharmacy Technician role
• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician

Note to Applicants: In select states, Pharmacy Technician certification and/or state registration is mandatory. In such locations, Wegmans may onboard individuals before they acquire the necessary qualifications, providing support throughout the process. Board Certified Pharmacy Technicians in eligible locations will receive a $.50/hour shift differential.
