    Description

    We are in search of a devoted and caring Lead Medical Assistant to join the team of one of our primary care partners. The perfect candidate will deliver top-notch patient care and assist our medical staff in providing outstanding healthcare services.

    What You'll Be Doing:

    • Patient Interaction: Welcome, evaluate, and address patient inquiries in-person and over the phone.
    • Medical Documentation: Document vital signs, main complaints, and other relevant details; update and manage patient records in the EHR system.
    • Test Monitoring: Monitor, communicate, and ensure availability of test results for the provider.
    • Care Coordination: Coordinate with the care team for pre-visit planning and foresee potential issues.
    • Preparation and Maintenance: Organize examination rooms, handle and sanitize instruments, and replenish supplies.
    • Specimen Handling: Aid in specimen collection, labeling, and transportation to the lab; explain procedures to patients.
    • Patient Scheduling: Arrange tests, provide guidance, and oversee appointment reminders.
    • Patient Education: Offer educational materials and instructions following the provider's guidance.
    • Discharge Process: Conclude patient discharge with guidelines and follow-up specifics.
    • Medication Management: Comprehend and elucidate medication usage, clarify queries, and forward prescriptions to pharmacies.
    • Administrative Tasks: Engage in clinic meetings, dispatch faxes, and manage biohazardous waste.
    • Collaboration and Support: Collaborate closely with the office manager and MA team, and fulfill additional tasks as assigned.

    Your Essentials:

    • Ideal candidates should have a minimum of one year of experience, preferably in a Family Practice environment.
    • National Certification is desirable but not obligatory (additional pay offered).
    • Proficiency with EKGs, PFTs, and immunizations is beneficial.
    • Familiarity with electronic health records (NextGen familiarity is advantageous).
    • Must be enthusiastic, upbeat, and exhibit a solid work ethic.
    • Thrive in a dynamic setting and collaborate effectively as part of a care team.
    • Demonstrate exceptional customer service abilities.
    • Must be meticulous and a proactive troublesolver.
    • Stay adaptable, take instructions, and collaborate effectively with others.
    • Capable of handling intermittent high-pressure situations.
    • Need to possess precise keyboarding skills.

    Compensation: $23-$30 per hour (based on experience)

    Work Schedule: Monday to Friday with alternating weekends

    Clinic Hours: 7am-6pm (schedule varies depending on the provider)
