- OP ED calls/consults as needed on a rotating basis.
- IP: ED Consults, Trauma, Surgery and Roundings
- Sick/complicated patients are shipped.
• Call Type: Beeper
• Call Response Time: 30 mins
• Phone Consults: 0-5
• Patient Volume: Varies
• Admissions: 0-1
• Rounding Included: Yes; 1-2 hrs
• Support Staff: Orthopaedic PAs, full surgical staff
• Required Procedures:
- General Ortho, Arthroscopy
- Total Joint Replacement (Hip, Knee, Others)
- Joint Revision/Repair (Shoulder, Hip, Knee)
• Case Mix: bread & butter cases
- Includes fractures, sports, general, etc
- No Spine
• Trauma Level: III
• EMR: Meditech (IP), Athena (OP)
• Other Info:
- For a new provider, orientation will occur on the day prior to the assignment.
- Efficient & flexible OR with block time assignments.
- Gen Surgeons manage the wound care clinic.
- Complete digital Radiology Dept.
