    Description

    Pay: $23.87 per hour
    Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm

    • What you'll do: You'll be responsible for duties involving HVAC repairs and general maintenance repairs on equipment and buildings, assisting with technical trades such as plumbing, electrical, painting and carpentry.

    Essential functions:

  • Perform maintenance and repair of structures, electrical systems, heating, plumbing, ventilation, and air conditioning and drainage systems. Recommend contracted assistance when on-center repair is not possible.
  • Repair or replace faulty or damaged light fixtures, outlets and fuses as directed, which may include standing or climbing on a ladder to perform such functions.
  • Perform minor construction and repair of structural woodwork.
  • Direct the work of detainees assigned to facility maintenance as appropriate.
  • Perform on-call support in emergency situations when equipment malfunctions.

    • Education and experience requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Training and licensing in the repair and maintenance of HVAC systems required.
  • General knowledge of repair and maintenance, and three (3) years of maintenance or related experience also required.
  • Must successfully complete preservice training.
  • Valid driver's license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
