    Title: Android Mobile Developer

    Type of role: Direct hire (On-site 100%, not corp to corp eligible, Candidates must be able to work as a W2 employee)

    Location: Charlotte, Southend area

    Compensation: $100K – 140K (Based on relevant experience.)

    Summary of Position:

    Our client is seeking a dedicated Android mobile developer to join our growing company. You will collaborate as part of a team of IT professionals to work on creating and maintaining Android applications.

    As an Android mobile developer, you will need to be familiar with the Android ecosystem and mobile app development, including familiarity with popular app frameworks and mobile development best practices. Your duties will include maintaining & extending the existing codebase, bug fixing, writing robust unit tests, and creating apps from scratch as part of a team while following all coding guidelines and industry best practices.

    Responsibilities:

    The Android Mobile Developer position will require experience performing the following:

    · Designing and developing Android applications using Kotlin

    · Writing testable code and unit tests to verify robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability

    · Maintaining and extending existing Android applications

    · Taking product requirements and UX design, and producing enterprise Android applications from them

    · Leveraging open-source software packages

    **Required Education & Experience: **

    · Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is required

    A minimum of 4 years professional working experience as an Android Mobile Developer is required.

    · Previous experience developing production Android applications through all phases of the software development lifecycle is required

    · Collaborate iteratively with cross-functional teams to product requirements

    · Architecting / Designing applications and large features from product requirements

    · Unit testing

    · MVVM

    · Consuming REST/JSON APIs

    · Kotlin & Jetpack Compose
