    Grant Accounting Coordinator

    Summary:

    The ARP Grant Accounting Coordinator plays a crucial role within the Office of Management & Budget American Rescue Plan Team, providing essential support in managing the financial aspects of a significant portfolio of federal funds allocated to our government client. The coordinator will assist ARP Grant Accountants in various accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. Additionally, they will conduct financial analyses, prepare reports, and contribute to audit responses. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the efficient management of federal funds aimed at benefiting the Louisville community.     Responsibilities:

    • Assist ARP Grant Accountants in accounting for ARP-funded grants/projects, including:
    • Preparing and entering budget amendments.
    • Executing journal entries accurately and in a timely manner.
    • Conducting data reviews and performing tasks related to month- and fiscal year-end closing processes.
    • Generating financial reports as required.
    • Coordinating the monthly expenditure verification process.
    • Conduct analyses of ARP financials, including ad hoc data reviews and audits, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
    • Collaborate with the team in compiling responses to audit requests, providing necessary documentation and information in a timely manner.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the ARP Grant Accounting Manager or higher authorities.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
    • Proven experience in accounting, preferably in a grant-funded environment.
    • Strong understanding of financial principles and accounting practices.
    • Proficiency in relevant software applications, including Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
    • Excellent analytical skills, including data entry and reporting, with a keen eye for detail.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Familiarity with federal grant regulations and compliance requirements is a plus.
