    Job Description:


    As a Campus Activities Board Generalist, the responsibilities for this position are as follows:

    • Attend all CAB meetings, including bi-weekly all-staff meetings and smaller event staff meetings.
    • Hold weekly office hours (at least 2 per week), coordinating any alternate arrangements with the Supervisor.
    • Spend at minimum 2-5 hours per week on CAB related issues, office hours, poster and flyer hanging, meetings, and leading events
    • Host 2-3 CAB events per semester, including advanced planning, completion of the Integrated Learning Program Planning form, set-up and teardown of events as indicated by the schedule and completed enough to be prepared for each event.
    • Coordinate specific publicity needs and marketing plans for all CAB events with the Marketing Specialists
    • Obtain training with the basic set-up and operation of the Student Involvement and campus sound and audio/visual equipment and agree to assist with the setup of basic equipment for CAB programs as needed
    • Work with agents and artists to bring activities to campus and make all the necessary arrangements.
    • Responsible for researching, presenting, and organizing new campus activities, especially those related to the events of the current and/or upcoming semester. This includes assisting with the completion of signed contract agreements and riders, meeting the hospitality needs of the entertainers, reserving rooms, setting up for the event, organizing publicity, gathering, or purchasing supplies and/or prizes, confirming check requests with the Supervisor, and handling any other special arrangements.
    • Serve as an official representative and spokesperson of CAB, Student Involvement, and Central College both on and off-campus.
