    Psychiatrist, Part-Time

    At Correctional Medicine Associates, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care in an institutional setting. We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Psychiatrist to join our team on a part-time basis.

    The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage the operation of mental health services and provide overall direction and leadership. They will be responsible for administrative and clinical coordination, including:

    • Providing direct patient care and associated clinical duties
    • Participating in civil commitment proceedings
    • Assessing patients using DSM diagnosis as appropriate
    • Prescribing psychotropic medications

    In addition, they will be responsible for supervising other mental health staff, collecting statistics and data, preparing reports, evaluating methods of improving operational efficiency, accepting on-call status, providing casework services including individual counseling group counseling family counseling assist with treatment planning development serve as liaison monitor confidentiality audit files review reports prepare records documents attend meetings process reports respond lawsuits via corporate counsel attend court hearings when necessary
