    Description
    Aetna Resources LLC, which is part of CVS Health, is looking to fill the following position in Hartford, CT as a Senior Data Engineer. This role involves addressing complex data engineering problems by developing, constructing, and overseeing large-scale data structures, pipelines, and efficient ETL workflows to support business applications.
    • Duties include:
    • Developing large-scale data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, and standardize data for insights and reporting needs.
    • Writing ETL processes, designing database systems, and creating tools for real-time and offline analytics to enhance existing systems.
    • Collaborating with the Data Science team to integrate algorithms and models into automated processes.
    • Testing, maintaining, and troubleshooting systems.
    • Utilizing programming skills in Python, Java, or similar languages to build data pipelines.
    • Building data marts and models to support internal customers.
    • Integrating data from various sources while ensuring data quality standards.
    • Analyzing IT environments, identifying critical capabilities, and recommending solutions for complex problems.
    • Experimenting with tools and advising on new solutions.

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Data Engineering, or related field with at least five years of experience.
    • Five years of experience in analyzing large data sets, healthcare data analysis, programming in Java, Python, or R, SAS or SQL, big data platforms like Hadoop, and data mining activities.
