    OVERVIEW :

    Regional Sales Manager makes field contacts with customers and prospective customers to develop sales volume, present D-S aftermarket products and assist in the solution of equipment and processing problems.

    PRIORITIZED ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


    Major ResponsibilitiesOrganizes work and plans activities for most effective territory coverage, scheduling frequency of calls consistent with sales requirements, customer needs.

    Secures processing or engineering data necessary for customer quotation and the design of special machines or modification of standard machines.

    Follows up installations to insure proper operation of equipment, investigates service problems and arranges prompt service when required, promotes paid start-ups.

    Maintains awareness of technological processing and industry developments of value to the group in developing product uses and assisting in customer applications problems, recognizes new applications for equipment or new processes when the Groups products can be used, suggest new product in present or allied fields and investigates their potential use, follows up, evaluates and reports on field testing of equipment.

    Quotes prices to customers, involving Manager in advance when pricing or concession questions arises, discusses financing arrangements in general terms, with details to be determined by financial arrangement.

    Submits to Manager timely written reports for sales proposals, customer operating and serviced problems, sales forecasts, personal expenses and information concerning competition.

    Follows up responses generated by advertising, reporting there on to the Vice President Sales and Product Line Managers.

    ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONSEducationBachelors degree.
    Experience5-10 years experience in customer facing sales role; preferably in capital equipment related to plastic extrusion or converting machinery.

    Knowledge of equipment specific to extrusion and converting processes in the production of cast film, blown film, extrusion and solution coating applications.

    Knowledge of industrial and packaging applications and associated converters in the region.
    SkillsMotivated self-starter with customer service approach.
    Self-manage and prioritize time and tasks to deliver results in line with set objectives.
