    Commercial Refrigeration Service Technician

    Overview

    We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to repair commercial refrigeration equipment and appliances, such as coolers, freezers, walk-in refrigerators, ice machines, and more. Do you want to drive a company van and represent the company instead of just being another employee? The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in commercial appliance repair or a related field like domestic appliance repair or HVAC/R. You will be required to perform repair work with minimal training. You may also receive cross-training to repair hot side equipment, food prep, refrigeration, and beverage equipment. Take charge and be a hero to our customers in need. If you do not have relevant experience, please do not apply.

    Pay: $20-45/hour (depending on skills and experience)

    Essential Responsibilities

    • Install, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial refrigeration equipment
    • Treat customers and colleagues with respect and professionalism
    • Complete service calls promptly
    • Communicate effectively with customers, managers, dispatchers, and sales teams
    • Participate in after-hours and weekend on-call rotations
    • Identify new customers and opportunities within existing accounts
    • Maintain service vehicle
    • Order parts and complete necessary paperwork
    • Attend training sessions
    • Perform other assigned duties

    Qualifications

    • Prior experience in cooking equipment service (or related military experience)
    • Experience with ice machines, walk-in reach-in coolers, and freezers
    • Strong electrical, electronic, and mechanical skills
    • Excellent customer communication skills
    • Dedication to hard work, punctuality, and organization
    • Maintain a professional appearance
    • Pass a background check and drug screening
    • Hold a valid driver's license and meet safety standards
    • Minimum age of 18 years

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with reach-in and walk-in coolers and freezers
    • CFESA certification and relevant training
    • EPA Universal Certification
    • Proficiency in computers
